This painting envisions the dragon as a symbol of renewal, ascending through the mist and clouds. I approach the motif as a figure of change and transformation, reflecting my lived experiences as a Taiwanese descendant in the United States. The ascent is a turn toward clarity and the ongoing evolution of identity—not conquest; a balance between change and heritage.
