Bridge Between Worlds

This painting is from my imagination, shaped by my journey. A forest bridge over restless water stands for the space between my identities. The current of the river fractures reflections; passage is negotiation, not ease. As an Asian living in the U.S., I see belonging as this kind of crossing: keeping both banks in view while the river tugs at my feet. The bridge isn’t meant to quiet the water; it offers a solid, steady passage through it.
